Jun 24, 2006 #2 M Mike if its anything like the one on my 1.8 eco zaf then no, but check to see the bolt holding it on isnt coming loose as it also holds the cambelt pulley and if that comes off its open wallet surgery time! Mike

Jun 25, 2006 #3 M me140 You will be able to see if it has a damper. Look for a 5mm strip of rubber on the front face. It may just be that the pulley isn't fitted correctly.
