1.0l c10xe corsa engine problem

Have a problem with a 1 litre corsa (w reg)
It idles at 1000 rpm on initial startup this then rises to approx 1600rpm
after a minute and it stays there
Also when starting it reluctantly starts and needs some revs to stop it
stalling. I have checked battery and earth , aslo
changed starter motor
Could this just be one sensor causing all these problems ? There is no EML
fault at all

Try giving the throttle body a good clean out before you get into spending
money.
