£251 for a cdr500!! are Vx for real!!!!

the delco cdr500 on the zaf has gone tits up. lights are on but no sound,
except (very) rarely when the controls are fiddled with. thought i would
price one up at a main stealers. glad I was sitting down when they came back
to me with £251 inc vat!!. Are they for F*****G real? a cheapo cd/radio that
doesnt even have a display to pay for? Am I alone in thinking this is such
a rip off?

Try www.fixmyradio.co.uk £60 + vat fixed fee to fix your radio. They've
done mine and a couple of mates no problem!

Thanks for those ideas guys. I think I will sit on it for a bit. If the wife
nags too much about it (well, its her car) then I will swap out the CAR400
from my vectra so she has the radio to listen to. Been looking on ebay tho'
(always good for a rummage) and they seem to go for about 50 notes plus P&P.
have to think about it tho'.

It must be terrible to be so poor like you that can't afford £251 without
struggling.
I spend at least that in cabs just going out each week so £251 is a drop in
the ocean for me.
Have you thought about getting a part time job at Burger king to supplement
your pathetic income?
